Libraries and Communities Unite for Climate Action in Devon
Devon is launching Together for Tomorrow, a five-year, £1.5 million National Lottery-funded programme led by Libraries Unlimited and CAG Devon, to turn libraries into sustainability hubs.
The initiative will support local communities in running repair cafés, community fridges, growing schemes, and low-waste workshops. Partnering with various grassroots climate groups and outreach organisations, the programme aims to share skills, build toolkits, and foster collaboration across the county. Open to all, it invites individuals and groups passionate about sustainability to get involved and make a difference.

Making a Difference
Climate Change has been added to the Parish Council website as an information tool for parishioners to know what is happening in Kingsbridge and the South Hams to combat climate change.
Information found here can both help find new ways to make a difference and to get more actively involved in doing something for our planet.
We will keep this site updated as new events and initiatives take place.
Energy Saving Starts at Home
Energy to heat the home is a big contributor to our carbon footprint - things to consider:
- Use electricity sourced from Green producers
- Consider installing solar panels
- Consider installing a heat pump
- Greater insulation improvements for roofs and walls

Energise Kingsbridge for the Future
Kingsbridge Climate Action (KCA) is a community action group which promotes ways to reduce our carbon footprint and enhance our local community. They are particularly involved in sharing knowledge, expertise and resources around low carbon heating and home energy efficiency.
KCA has a thermal imaging camera available for loan to parish councils. These are invaluable for understanding where our homes are leaking heat and how to make energy savings. To register interest in a free survey email our Parish Clerk, btsclerk@gmail.com .
Take a look at the website for the many ways to get involved and help save our precious resources and environment.
